Description
A medium-sized, deciduous tree to about 25 m tall with large leaves and very attractive, bell-shaped, pink to purplish flowers. It is easy and extremely fast growing and aside from a popular ornamental in warm temperate regions around the world, it is a choice species for forestry with its light but durable wood that can be used for a variety of purposes.
