Description
A beautiful, small to medium-sized, evergreen or dry deciduous tree with purple flowers, native to forests in southern China and Southeast Asia. Bauhinia purpurea makes a highly desirable ornamental and is widely cultivated in warm temperate and tropical regions in USDA Zones 9 to 11.
