Description
A small to medium-sized, deciduous tree native to temperate eastern Asia, where it is found in woodlands to 2000 m. The edible, orange fruits are used in the preparation of sweet desserts, candies, jams and fruit wines. It is easily grown in temperate climates in USDA Zones 5 to 9.
