Description
A large shrub or small tree, originally native to scrub and woodlands in the tropics of the Americas, but widely cultivated for its showy blue flowers and yellow fruits in USDA Zones 9 to 11. In colder climates the shrub may freeze to the ground annually. The leaves and fruits are mildly poisonous.
