Description
An attractive, medium sized conifer to about 15 m tall, native to the coastal woodlands of eastern and southeastern Australia, with bright green, needle-like branchlets, small orange male cones and large, woody, grayish-brown female cones containing small, rounded, dark-brown seeds. Its termite-resistant wood is used in construction and craftwork. Callitris rhomboidea makes a fast-growing ornamental for temperate climates in USDA Zones 8 to 10.
